Trying to locate SSG Tony Sloan who was with Co B, 1st Engrs during 65 - 66. We both were a part of the 2nd BDE's ninety (90)person advance party to Vietnam. Our initial stop was Qui Nhon then Bien Hoa.

I am doing historical research on LTC. Thorwald Roger Peterson who was the CO of the 1st Engineer Battalion from 25 July 1967 to 8 July 1968. He was associated with Diehard 6 and especially Battlin Bravo Company. West Point Class of 1954 and a Company Commander on the DMZ in Korea. I am particularly interested in which valor awards he earned in Vietnam. Please contact me if you have any information.

I was the S-1 (Adjutant) at Lia Kai, VN. I was a RIARNG activated and a MP Officer. I went on to command the 115th MP Co., The RIARNG Military Academy & the 1021st Civil Affairs Gp., retiring after 35 1/2 yrs.
